2000年代前半から東京を中心に活動を続けている即興演奏家、河野円（こうのまどか）が、満を持してリリースするデビュー・ソロ・アルバム。 2012年11月、東京「Ftarri」にて公開録音した2曲を収録。演奏にはテープ・レコーダー、ミキサー、スピーカー、デジタル・チューナー を使用。空のテープ・レコーダーを操作し、注意深く位置を変えることで、音に微妙な揺れと変化がもたらされ、複雑で豊かな音の響きが空間に広がる。
ライナー・ノート
私は録音媒体を入れずに内蔵マイク付のテープレコーダーをスピーカーに繋げて、ある一定の時間、手元でテープレコーダーを録音モードにしています。今回、そのことによって発生している現象をラインとエアーで録音して、CDというフォーマットに収めました。”in”では、テープレコーダーとスピーカーに間隔をとり、観客（とエアーマイク）が内側にいる状態となっています。”out”では、テープレコーダーとスピーカーに間隔をあまりとらず、観客（とエアーマイク）がその外側にいる状態となっています。（河野円）

This is the first solo album of Madoka Kouno, an improviser who has been performing since the early 2000s, mainly in Tokyo. The two tracks were recorded live at Ftarri, Tokyo, in November 2012. In this performance Kouno used tape recorders, a mixer, speakers, and digital tuners. The manipulation of empty tape recorders and careful changes in their positions cause subtle tremors and variations; and the rich, complex sound vibration radiates throughout the space.

I prepared a portable cassette recorder with a built-in microphone, connected it to two speaker, and held it in my hands for a certain duration in record mode without a recording medium. Using line-in input and open-air microphone input respectively, I captured the phenomenon triggered by the above-mentioned settings and recorded it into CDDA data format. “in” was recorded with enough distance between the recorder and the speakers, with audience (and the open-air microphone) inside it. “out” was recorded with short distance between the recorder and the speakers, with audience (and the open-air microphone) outside it. I’m pleased to announce that my solo work will be released on March 31th, from Hitorri label. Hittori is a sister label of Ftarri.
Hitorri means “solo”, Ftarri means “duo” in Japanese.
